Louis Vuitton unveils luxury watch and jewelry store in Ginza.

June 23, 2008

French luxury brand Louis Vuitton has recently opened a dedicated jewelry and watch store in the Matsuya department store in the trendy Ginza area of Tokyo. On June 19th a private opening ceremony was held, which featured the debut of their ¥900,000,000 jewelry set. Although most well-known for their bags and leather goods, in recent years the Louis Vuitton brand has been developing original jewelry and watches. Located on the first floor of Matsuya Ginza, the store has been named the "Watch and Fine Jewelry Salon".

To commemorate the event, a new line of jewelry was unveiled featuring a 4-piece set consisting of a necklace, bracelet, earrings, and a ring. The necklace features a diamond arrangement cut in the shape of a flower and is valued at ¥472,500,000. As well, the store will be the only location in Japan where customers can purchase the limited production ¥278,250,000 pendant in the shape of the number "8", of which only 888 are available worldwide.

Following the private opening ceremony and two days of celebratory events on June 21 and 22, the store is now officially open to the public.
