Daikokuya Launches Online Luxury Handbag Rental Services

Daikokuya, a major player in Japan's used luxury handbag market, recently announced the launch of its new luxury handbag rental services. A selection of previously owned luxury handbags is availble for rental via a new specially designed website. Rental offerings include a variety of items from Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Chanel, Fendi and other top luxury brands popular in Japan.
Luxury handbag rental services have grown extensively in Japan over the past 1 year, and Daikokuya will join other players such as ORB and Cariru in the market.
Daikokuya currently offers bags for 10 day and 30 day rental periods. Discounts are also available if the customer decides to purchase the bag at the end of the rental period.
Rental prices vary accoriding the particular item and rental duration. For example a Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM bag can be rented for 5,600 JPY for 10 days, while a Hermes Kelly 28 bag cost 12,500 JPY for a 10 day period.
